Aeroseal Duct Sealing Part 2

This video is a follow-up to our first Aeroseal demonstration video. We started out with 379 CFM of duct leakage. After running the Aeroseal machine for three hours – which is about three times the amount of time we normally have to run it on a home this size – we were able to get the leakage down to 75 CFM. Therefore, we reduced the leakage by at least 80%. We did the upstairs duct board return by hand because the cracks were so large. We couldn’t do them by machine. Overall, we saved at least a ton and a half of the air conditioning in this home. We also added insulation to the attic. So, there will be major changes in the comfort and energy savings here.
