Why Do You Need a Maintenance Agreement?

Why is it a good idea to have a maintenance agreement?  The number one reason to have a maintenance agreement is so that your heating and air conditioning equipment will last longer.  The number one killer of air conditioners is dirt.  Cleanliness provides longevity for your heating and air conditioning.  The cleaner you keep it, the longer it lasts, and the less it costs to run.  5/100 of an inch of biofilm will cost you 10% efficiency in heat transfer in your evaporator coil.  So, all the dirt that goes through the filter and gets on your coil reduces your unit’s ability to transfer heat.  Through a maintenance agreement, you will get your unit cleaned on a regular basis, so you can be sure it will stay clean and run efficiently.
