What to Expect from Your Annual Maintenance Visit

You might be wondering, and I have often been asked, “What do you really do when you perform annual maintenance on HVAC equipment?”  This is an important question because our customers need to understand what they are receiving when they sign up for our Peace of Mind Service Partner Plan, which includes either one or two maintenance visits a year.
With each visit, our technicians perform:

1.  27 Point Safety Inspection – This inspection is designed to find any potentially hazardous condition that exists in your home which could affect your comfort, anything that might inconvenience you or – more importantly – anything that might endanger you and your family.

2.  One Precision Tune Up – The precision tune up checks the settings of your HVAC equipment. These settings may include, but are not limited to, items such as gas pressure, electrical connections and refrigerant levels. During the precision tune up, our technician will also check to make sure all wires are tightened correctly, and the technician will check each electrical part to make sure it is operating at its designed optimum.

3.  One System Rejuvenation – A System Rejuvenation is the professional cleaning of accessible parts other items. The most important part is the rinsing / professional cleaning of the coil on the outdoor unit. It also includes the professional cleaning of accessible parts in your furnace.

These tasks are important for the safety of you and your family and the long-term well-being of your unit.  Investing now in annual maintenance for your HVAC equipment will ensure that your unit will last longer and operate more efficiently during its lifetime.  Given the investment you made in the purchase of your HVAC equipment, doesn’t it make sense to protect your investment with regular maintenance?
